In today’s crowdfunding environment, any asset class can now be tokenized using blockchain technology. But just as new technologies emerge and disruption occurs, security and compliance become an issue when it comes to the tokenization of equity. Listen to this podcast episode where Mark Elenowitz, President of Horizon Globex, explains how his company is solving these problems with their software tokenization platform and their private label app that helps companies tokenize assets in a compliant manner which satisfies the requirements of the SEC and FINRA in terms of “Know Your Customer” (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML). It wasn’t that long ago when the Internet was a new idea – now it’s mainstream. How long will it take for blockchain and tokenization to similarly be adopted?

Listen to “Horizon GlobeX Tokenization Platform Provides Revolutionary and Compliant Security Token Offerings on the Blockchain” on Spreaker.

Globex is a blockchain software business specialized in the Regulation D and Regulation S compliant tokenization of assets. Globex offers a complete securities primary issuance solution using Tokenetics.com, investor KYC/AML using KYCware.com, U.S. transfer agent custody using CustodyWare.com and compliant secondary trading on ERC-20 blockchain exchanges.

Over the past few years, we’ve seen many Initial Coin Offerings (ICO) raise a huge amount of money, but that has all been done outside of regulatory compliance and as a result that market has been ripe with fraud. Security Token Offerings are securities that will hopefully eliminate most fraud issues. As mentioned in the podcast, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has been slow to approve many of the tokenized Regulation A+ offerings due to the inability to process the issues that Globex’s app solves. Integrating with Transfer Agents is key – if there’s no transfer agent, there’s no market. Until Globex, transfer agents didn’t have the technology needed for tokenization. Now they do (read their latest press release here). Hopefully, as the industry adapts and matures, we’ll see the Reg.A+ approval rate for tokenized and blockchain related projects move much more quickly. Interested in more info?
